An individual’s Lifestyle
pattern and habits play a crucial role in either
restoring or damaging his/her health.
Ayurveda tells us that
medicines contribute only 10% – 20% towards health
recovery, whereas 80% - 90% is directly attributable
to a healthy lifestyle pattern.
Specific guidance provided on lifestyle
pattern is based on the following :
• The individual’s personal body constitution.
• Age and marital status.
• Sex.
• Occupation/Business.
• Physical strength and mental skills.
• Emotional and mental state.
• Seasons.
• Lunar Cycle.
• Solar Cycle.
The benefits of following a regulated Lifestyle
according to our bodily constitution are manifold – most
notably it enhances and builds a strong immune system, which in turn promotes
a healthy mind, body and spirit. If due to some reason, one is in a poor
state of health, practicing a lifestyle that is regulated and in harmony
with the environment can quickly put one on the road
to recovery, without the use of medicines.
